The Best Canopy Zip Line Tour in Costa Rica…

Experience the thrill of a lifetime taking the Osa Canopy Tour at Osa Mountain Village. If you have always wanted to take an adventure tour in the Costa Rican jungle, a zipline adventure tour offered by Osa Canopy Tour gives you a breathtaking bird’s eye view of the spectacular southern zone. It is a tour you simply cannot find anywhere else. They are fully insured, professionally staffed, and prepared to give you an education and the ride of a lifetime!

The tour is co-owned by Jim Gale and Christian Mena Porras. Christian has extensive experience in building and running canopy tours. A unique aspect that sets Osa Canopy Tour apart is that it has been designed to be eco-friendly, allowing the platforms to grow naturally with the trees that you zip between. In fact, no screws or nails are used in the trees for the construction of the tour. Osa Canopy Tour is one of only a handful of rainforest canopy tours in Costa Rica that use this advanced design technology.

There are 11 cables, 15 platforms, 3 rappelling stations, and an amazing “tarzan” swing for the truly adventurous! Separate Waterfall Rappelling Tours are also offered which include rappelling 3 waterfalls, one that is over 250 ft high! They offer a unique overnight stay in which you can do the zipline canopy tour one day, stay the night in our amazing tent cabins, and rappel the water falls the next day! This includes 3 meals and accommodations. The tour opened in February of 2009 and has quickly become one of the areas most talked about attractions.

Start your journey on the Osa Mountain Village Sustainable Development 780-acre private reserve that includes primary and secondary humid tropical rainforests. Take delight in overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean while waiting for your tour to begin. Once you begin, your bilingual guides will teach you about the osa peninsula in a fun and informative manner along the way. You will be able to tell that they are extremely knowledgeable about the area but that they also know how to keep you safe with the first-rate gear, climbing methods, and other maneuvers so you can enjoy soaring hundreds of feet above the ground in the rainforest canopy.

The Osa Canopy Tour lasts about 2 1/2 hours and ends at a small rancho with massive views that over looks the Sierpe Valley where the new Airport will be constructed. Once your canopy zip line tour is over and you are back on the ground, you will enjoy a local snack of fresh fruit and beverages. You can then enjoy walking through the numerous paths filled with mountain terrain and natural serenity. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled because you will have the opportunity to see all kinds of insects and animals unique to the region, including howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, scarlet macaws, poison dart frogs and much more!

We invite you to take the Osa Canopy Tour if you have ever had a desire to see the Costa Rican jungle up close and personal. It’s definitely a unique experience that you will never forget!
