In Costa Rica Sport fishing is very popular with many people catching their first Sailfish or Mahi Mahi when they go out. That’s what happened to me. I caught my first Sailfish and my good friend John caught a nice Mahi Mahi. A good Costa Rica sportfishing trip will end with everyone catching something. Depending on the time of the year there are many species of fish to be caught off the coast of Costa Rica’s southern pacific zone. Mahi Mahi and Sailfish are routinely caught and the captain knows all the hot spots.

What to bring: We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and a hat and camera if you have one.
